About Sicce
Founded in 1973 in northern Italy, Sicce has spent more than five decades engineering high-performance pumps and aquatic equipment that have become trusted by hobbyists, professionals and commercial industries around the world. Built on a passion for innovation and precision engineering, the company has earned a reputation for designing products that combine exceptional performance, energy efficiency and long-term reliability.
From its earliest days, Sicce has focused on developing technologies that improve water movement and filtration across a wide range of aquatic environments. While the brand is best known for its aquarium pumps, internal and external filters, wavemakers and filtration systems, Sicce's engineering expertise extends far beyond the aquarium hobby. Its technology is also used in horticulture, hydroponics, fountains, industrial water systems and public aquariums, demonstrating the versatility and durability of its products.
Every Sicce product is designed and engineered in Italy, where decades of research and development continue to drive the company's commitment to innovation. By combining modern manufacturing techniques with rigorous testing and quality control, Sicce has consistently introduced products that set new standards for efficiency, quiet operation and ease of use. This dedication to engineering excellence has resulted in numerous patented technologies and has established Sicce as one of the most respected names in water movement.
Innovation remains at the heart of the Sicce philosophy. The company's product portfolio has continued to evolve with the introduction of advanced DC return pumps, controllable wavemakers, intelligent filtration systems and energy-efficient circulation technology. Flagship products such as the Syncra range of pumps, Shark internal filters and XStream wavemakers have become favourites among freshwater and marine aquarists alike, valued for their performance, reliability and thoughtful design.
Environmental responsibility also plays an important role in Sicce's vision for the future. By developing products that consume less energy while delivering greater performance, the company continues to help hobbyists reduce energy consumption without compromising aquarium health. Long product lifespans, replaceable components and ongoing product support further reinforce Sicce's commitment to sustainability and responsible manufacturing.
Today, Sicce products are distributed in more than 90 countries, supporting everyone from first-time fishkeepers to experienced aquascapers, reef enthusiasts and public aquarium professionals. More than 50 years after its foundation, Sicce continues to combine Italian design, scientific innovation and engineering excellence to create products that keep aquatic environments thriving across the globe.
